Founder & Principal
Dr. Shilpa Tiwari is an executive with fifteen years of experience building, growing and managing sustainability, corporate citizenship, diversity and inclusion initiatives in complex organizations. Having worked in financial services, mining, oil and gas, forestry and energy, she is versatile and entrepreneurial. Shilpa has worked and lived in Africa, Asia, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. She has a bachelor’s in biology, a master’s in environmental policy and a doctorate in social anthropology.
Previous experience includes Head of Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship at Manulife, a global insurance company, Vice President at one of Canada’s largest pension funds, OMERS; and leading environmental and social impact assessments and strategy for SNC Lavalin, one Canada’s largest engineering firms, and a social scientist for ERM helping global corporations understand social and environmental impacts of their operations and actions to mitigate and manage impacts.
Shilpa is a frequent contributor to Corporate Knights Magazine.
